Ordos city has announced a series of 48 cultural and tourism events for the upcoming May Day holiday.

From May 1 to 4, a desert tourism event will take place in Hanggin banner at the Jinshaling Desert and the Night Singing Sand area, featuring off-road racing, a desert Nadamu festival, rock concerts, and large-scale kite shows. Concurrently, the Kangbashi Racing Town will host the OIC Track Day for professional drivers, while fun races and parent-child sports activities are planned across the city.

At Ordos Wildlife Park, visitors can enjoy animal parades, mecha patrols, and an underwater Guo Feng (Chinese traditional style) show. On the evening of May 1, the "Warm City Three Essentials" — fireworks, a drone display, and a musical fountain — will return. The Mausoleum of Genghis Khan will present live-action performances such as Hongyan and Daily Nadamu, alongside spring intangible cultural heritage activities.

Other performances include a kite and music festival at Ordos Cultural Industry Park, a star concert and water stage play in Jungar banner, and stand-up comedy in Dalad Banner. For those interested in traditional culture, Dongsheng district will host the Fujiang ICH Market, and Night Singing Sand area will hold its first camel banquet and ICH exhibition.

Museum offerings include an exhibition on global zodiac culture themed around the Year of the Horse at Ordos Museum, a cross-provincial peasant painting exchange at Ordos Cultural Center, and an exhibition on grassland bronze culture at Dongsheng District Museum. Several banners and districts, including Dongsheng, Kangbashi, and Jungar, will issue cultural tourism consumption vouchers.

With activities ranging from desert off-roading and historical exploration to family outings and night scenery viewing, Ordos offers a diverse program for holiday visitors.
