Kangbashi lawn concert brings local arts closer to the community

A lawn concert featuring local musicians was held near Baikang Bridge in Kangbashi district, Ordos, on the evening of Sept. 12.

All the performers were members of the local musicians association who live and work in Kangbashi. Through their music, they have long documented the city's development and shared stories about changes in their hometown.

The concert featured solo singing, a children's choir, violin performances and piano accompaniment. The program included popular classics, traditional music and locally inspired original songs such as "Green Ordos," "Green Kangbashi" and "Happy Kangbashi."

In recent years, Kangbashi has continued to improve public cultural services, support local artists and bring accessible cultural events into parks and other community spaces. The lawn concert was part of the district's efforts to make arts and culture a more visible part of everyday life.
