An international youth exchange event themed around the Belt and Road Initiative was held in Ordos from Sept. 22 to 24, bringing together young people from 13 Belt and Road partner countries, including Vietnam, Turkey and South Africa.

During the three-day program, participants visited Kangbashi district, Ejin Horo Banner and Dongsheng district. They explored Kangbashi at night, watched a fountain show at Ulan Mulun Lake Square and learned about the city's desert restoration and water management efforts.

The group also visited the Ordos Cultural Industry Park and joined local residents at a Mid-Autumn Festival event. Participants experienced traditional Chinese culture by making mooncakes and taking part in folk activities.

A young participant from Armenia said that although her family was far away, being with her Chinese friends made her feel as if they were one family.

Visits to Ordos Wildlife Park and the Ordos Science and Technology Innovation Museum offered further insights into the city's work in ecological protection and technological innovation.

The camp was jointly organized by the Institute of International Studies and Advanced Training under China International Communications Group and the Publicity Department of the CPC Ordos Municipal Committee. Through culture, environmental protection and innovation, the program encouraged exchanges between young people from China and other countries.
