The 2005 International Pottery Art Works Show is scheduled for June 2-4 in Yixing, a city famous for its pottery in east China's Jiangsu Province, according to the organizing committee of the show.

The show will be co-sponsored by the China Pottery Association, the Pottery Committee of the United States and the Yixing municipal government.

 

A large number of superb pottery with exquisite craftsmanship from both at home and overseas will be put on show, said Xu Xiutang, a great master with the provincial pottery committee.

 

The show will also hold a range of activities such as on-the-spot performance of making boccaro teapots, tea party on pottery culture, paper exchanges on pottery research as well as tours to the ancient boccaro mining ruins, pottery museums and pottery kilns.
