China has called on Japan to work together and take "concrete action" to repair their relations.

Tang said China attached great importance to relations between the two countries. He stressed that the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations would tally with the fundamental interests of the two nations, assist facilitate the maintenance of peace in Asia and the world and promote common prosperity.

Tang spoke positively of Ozawa's long-term contribution to the development of Sino-Japanese relations noting that Ozawa had played an important role in promoting healthy and stable bilateral ties.

Tang also expressed his appreciation of Ozawa's decade-long efforts to promote the Great Wall Program.

Responding to Tang's proposal, Ozawa noted that Japan-China relations were vitally important and the two sides should make concerted efforts towards their development.
