Macao recorded 289,266 package tourist arrivals in May, seeing a year-on-year rise of 21.3 percent, according to official statistics issued here on Thursday.

 

The figures from the government-run Statistics and Census Service (SCS) showed that above 70.5 percent of the package visitors came in the month from the Chinese mainland.

 

The SCS statistics also showed that the number of Macao's hotel rooms reached 13,052 at the end of May, up 15.2 percent over the same month of 2006.
