Chinese Snacks Festival Begins in Hohhot

An exhibition of noted Chinese snacks has drawn crowds of people to Dazhao temple in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia during its opening day on Wednesday.

 

China National Radio reports the 12-day famed snacks festival coincides with the temple fair and is designed to celebrate the 60th anniversary since the establishment of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

 

Over the next two weeks, nearly 1,000 famous, delicious cuisine from around the globe will be displayed. Chefs and bakers from around China have been invited to give an impromptu demonstration of their skills.

 

Visitors are also able to feast their eyes on local specialties, calligraphy, folk acrobatics and handicrafts.
