Yuyuan Garden in Mid-Autumn Festival
Adjust font size:

Red lanterns decorate Shanghai's Yuyuan Garden last night, as China celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival, the 15th day of the eighth month on the Chinese lunar calendar.

Over 200 locals and expats living in the city held a party featuring Chinese poems at the ancient garden last night. While Chinese traditionally honor the full moon during the festival, that celestial event won't occur until 4 AM tomorrow.
