The Wuhan-Guangzhou section of the high-speed route has been operating since December 2009 and the Zhengzhou-Wuhan section began functioning in September this year.

The railway, which runs at an average speed of 300 kilometers per hour, will probably cost about 900 yuan, according to estimates.
