The book fair received 465 volumes of books, including 380 new books, from CIPG. Among the publications, 312 books were written in English, while 106 books were in other foreign languages, such as German, French, Spanish and Arabic.

The categories of the books cover a wide spectrum of writings, including introductions to contemporary China, Chinese culture and literature, a Chinese language learning series, healthcare and traditional Chinese medicine and children’s stories to cater to the demands of an overseas audience.

This year, CIPG highlights books on China’s political, economic, diplomatic and ecological advancements in order to respond to the concerns of global readers.

At the opening ceremony of the book fair, New World Press, a subsidiary of CIPG, made the global debut of its latest publication, "Keywords to Understand China."

Translated into nine languages, including, French, Russian and Japanese, "Keywords to Understand China" help the readers grasp the concepts, ideas, policies and development models of China through analysis of keywords taken mostly from Xi Jinping’s speeches and writings.

On Oct. 20, CIPG will invite 10 veteran publishers from Europe to participate in a workshop focusing on a selection of book topics in a bid to respond to the interests and concerns of the global readers.

As the Frankfurt Book Fair occupies a central role in introducing world’s presses and publications, CIPG will seize the opportunity to reach agreements with its counterparts from the U.S., Britain, Germany, France, Turkey, Spanish, India, Greece and Vietnam to sell its publications in overseas markets.

In the past few years, CIPG has ranked as the top publisher among its domestic peers by ensuring hundreds of copyright exports to foreign countries.
