Critically applauded musical-comedy "La La Land" dominated the 74th Golden Globes, taking home seven awards and breaking the record for most Golden Globes won by a single film.

The previous record was shared by "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" (1975) and "Midnight Express" (1978), with six wins apiece.

Damien Chazelle's "La La Land" won every award it was nominated for, including best musical/comedy film, best director and best screenplay (Chazelle), best actor (Ryan Gosling) and actress (Emma Stone), best score and best original song ("City of Stars").

"I'm in daze now, officially," said Chazelle as he accepted his award for directing at the ceremony held in Beverly Hills, California.

His film will be imported to Chinese market early this year.
