DiCaprio dedicated his award to Native Americans, saying, "I want to share this award with all the First Nations people represented in this film and all the indigenous peoples around the world. "Steve Jobs" also won two Golden Globes: Best Screenplay for Aaron Sorkin and Best Supporting Actress – Drama for Kate Winslet. Pixar's acclaimed "Inside Out" won Best Animated Feature Film while Best Original Song in a Motion Picture went to “Writing's on the Wall," the theme song by Sam Smith for "Spectre."

Best foreign language film went to Hungary's Laszlo Nemes for his film "Son of Saul." "The Holocaust over the years has become an abstraction. For me, it is more of a face. Let us not forget this face," Nemes said.
