The book Diaoyu Islands: The Truth is based on the documentary “Diaoyu Islands: The Truth” by German Hollywood director Chris D. Nebe. The director uses his unique perspective to talk views through that period of history one step at a time, using complete and previously unknown historical materials. He hopes that through this book he can reveal the truth of history – the Diaoyu Islands have always belonged to China.

This book has the historical relationship of China and Japan as its overall backdrop. Starting from the first recorded military conflict between the two countries, it emphasizes describing the period of history from the First Sino-Japanese War through to when Japanese soldiers invaded during the Second World War, and in particular the heinous crimes perpetrated by Japan against Asian countries, including China. The book gathers together various priceless materials, including those from the US Library of Congress. The large quantity of historical photographs included make the book a persuasive and shocking read.
