Chinese Shares Close at Record High

Chinese shares closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closing up at 4,335.18 points, rising 1.48 percent or 63.07 points from the previous close.

The index, which tracks both yuan-denominated A shares and hard-currency B shares traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, closed at 4,272.11 points on Monday.
