Kunpeng Airlines to be renamed Henan Airlines -- 21st Century Herald

Privately-owned airline Kunpeng will change its name to Henan Airlines in the near future, a senior executive has told 21st Century Herald.

The name on the company HQ entrance has been changed to Henan Airlines and all its aircraft have been repainted.

The executive said Kunpeng Airlines had agreed on a capital injection from the Henan provincial government, but gave no further details, saying "Just wait for a formal statement from the (Henan) provincial government."

Seeking financial help from local government is a growing trend in China's airline industry. Since the beginning of the year, subsidiaries of Shenzhen Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Hainan Airlines have all reached funding agreement with their local governments. United Eagle Airlines is to change its name to Chengdu Airlines on the 18th of December.

CSRC approves 4 to list on ChiNext -- China Securities Journal

China's securities regulator fast-tracked its review process and on Tuesday approved four companies to list on the ChiNext board, the China Securities Journal reported Wednesday.

The four companies are Netac Technology Co., Ltd., Hwa Create Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia FuRui Chinese & Mongolian Traditional Medicine Science & Technology Stock Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Tianyuan DIC Information Technology Co., Ltd.

Geely confirms sales to top 300,000 in 2009 -- China Securities Journal

Geely Automobile Co., Ltd. (stock code: 0175.HK) said Tuesday that sales data disclosed by its executive director Hong Shaolun was correct, the China Securities Journal has reported.

According to a company statement, Geely sold 250,000 vehicles in the first ten months of 2009 and is expected to sell over 300,000 vehicles over the full year 2009. The automaker has set a 2010 preliminary sales target of 400,000, which would represent year-on-year growth of 33 percent.

Geely suspended its shares shortly after the market opened on Tuesday. The company resumed trading Tuesday afternoon after it confirmed the strong sales data announced a day earlier by Hong Shaolun.

3 new IPOs freeze 1.33 trln yuan -- National Business Daily

Three new initial public offerings (IPOs) started subscription on Monday and froze a total of 1.33 trillion yuan of funds, National Business Daily reported on Wednesday.

The three new listings are China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, Hainan Straight Shipping Co., Ltd. and Henan Huaying Agricultural Development Co., Ltd.

China Shipbuilding Industry priced its A-share IPO at 7.28 yuan per share and locked up 961.2 billion yuan in subscriptions.

Hainan Straight Shipping and Henan Huaying Agricultural Development attracted 229 and 145.4 billion yuan in subscriptions, respectively.
