China shares open lower on Monday

Chinese shares opened lower on Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.1 percent to 2,936.45 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index dipped 0.14 percent to 11,900.1 points.

Li Rongrong, director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) said over the weekend that China's listed centrally-administered state-owned enterprises (SOEs) should give investors good investment returns as they have taken investment risk.

There are currently 128 cental SOEs under the supervision of the SASAC.
