Chinese shares open higher after Lantern Festival

Chinese equities opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index advancing 0.17 percent, or 5.06 points, to open at 3,057.01 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 0.36 percent, or 44.16 points, to 12,480.81 points at the opening.
