Chinese shares open lower on Wednesday

Chinese equities opened lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.06 percent to open at 3,067.15 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index edged down 0.09 percent to 12,496.78 points at the opening.
