With a closing date in December, Brazil's government published the tendering documents of its high-speed railway 10 days ago. Chinese Ministry of Railways and China Railway Construction Co. Ltd. (CRCC), the largest railway construction enterprise of the country, will bid for this project, said Huang Heping from International Cooperation Department of the Ministry on Wednesday.

According to Huang, CRCC is preparing bidding documents and planning to make a joint bid with the enterprises of other countries. A number of local companies in Brazil and other foreign companies may also be involved. However, Huang didn't release the name of the companies.

Li Jun from the Transport Bureau of the Ministry said a project coordination group between the two countries has been set up, helping domestic enterprises explore the overseas market.

Enterprises from Europe and especially those in Korea appear willing to bid for this project.

China's business press carried the story above on Friday. China.org.cn has not checked the stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.
