China has approved the renewal of the operation license of Beijing Guxiang Information Technology Co. Ltd., the operator of Google's China website. The renewal means Google may continue to provide services, such as searching, for users in mainland China.

Google's business in China is beginning to pick up, and its recruitment has seen a significant rebound on a number of Chinese websites.

"There's nothing to be surprised at," said Yu Yang, CEO of Analysts International, in an interview with National Business Daily. "For any international Internet enterprise, China is a market which can never be ignored."

Google' recruitment page shows that the company is recruiting employees for positions in seven departments, including R&D, Production, Sales, Operation, IT, Human Resources and Marketing. The positions are mainly located in Beijing and Shanghai, but Google did not release the number of vacancies.

China's business press carried the story above on Friday. China.org.cn has not checked the stories and does not vouch for their accuracy.
