Founded in November 1998, Tencent Inc. has grown into China's largest and most used Internet service portal. As of March 31, 2010, the active QQ users accounts for QQ IM amounted to 568.6 million while its peak concurrent users reached 105.3 million.

Founded in September 2005, Qihoo 360 is a leading internet security software maker and internet service provider. By the end of April, 2010, Qihoo 360 safe had announced to have 250 million users, accounting for 70 percent market share.
