High-tech SME attracts loans by intellectual property

Money has been an important issue for most of SMEs, and it is usually the top issue for those high-tech SMEs who dreams to become the "Microsoft" and "Intel" in China.

When those high-tech SMEs are facing the shortage of capital, financial banks are extending the olive branch to these companies. A few days ago, the Bank of China signed loan contract with six high-tech SMEs located in Zhong Guan Cun, also known as the silicon valley of China. The 6 companies will raise a mortgage on their intellectual property. Tao wei, founder and general manager of a medium sized high-tech company became own of the beneficiaries of this project.

Tao Wei, General Manager of Broadex Technology Company said "Before, only properties can be worked as a mortgage garentees to get loans, but now intellectual rights can raise mortgage as well. There will be many experts in this field to evaluate the proper value of our intellectual rights after an complete investigation."
