Audi sold more than 220,000 cars in China in 2010. |
FAW-Volkswagen, a Sino-German joint-venture, sold 225,588 units of Audi cars in China last year, up 43.5 percent over 2009, China Business News reported Wednesday.
Audi continues to be the top selling luxury auto brand in China, the newspaper said.
In 2009, the automaker sold 194,920 units of Audi models made in China and 30,668 units of imported Audi models.
In 2010, FAW-Volkswagen accelerated the introduction of new car models into China's booming auto market. The automaker brought in the Audi A5/S5 series, Audi A3 Sportback, the new 2010 Audi TT and Audi Q5.
Sales of the Audi A5/S5 series surged to 5,556 units in 2010. Sales of Audi Q7 models also rose 80 percent, exceeding 10,000 units.
