On Dec. 8, 2010, China's leading e-commerce website Dangdang.com debuted on the New York Stock Exchange. Last year, 41 Chinese companies were listed on the US stock market.

More Chinese companies are expected to be listed on the US stock market this year than last year, according to He Zhaofeng, partner and Greater China IPO Leader with Ernst & Young.

"As far as we know, dozens of Chinese companies have shown their intentions to seek a US listing. There could be 50 to 60 domestic companies listed in the US this year," He predicted. He also expects to see more funds raised by Chinese firms in the US capital market in 2011.

According to data provided by Zero2IPO Group, 476 Chinese companies were listed on overseas stock market last year, raising a total of $105.35 billion, which accounted for 46 percent of all funds raised through stock markets worldwide in 2010.

Last year, 41 Chinese companies were listed on the US stock market, raising a total of $3.9 billion, up 81 percent from the previous year.
