China on Friday unveiled a list of the country's top 30 auto companies in 2010, including 14 state-owned enterprises, 13 privately-owned companies, and three three-way ventures.

The Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp.(SAIC), China FAW Group Corp. and the Dongfeng Motor Group Co. ranked as the country's top three auto companies in terms of core business revenues, said a statement jointly issued by the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

The top three companies, along with China Changan Automobile Group, produced 11.34 million vehicles last year, accounting for 62.09 percent of China's total auto output, said Cai Weici, vice executive chairman of the CMIF.

Core business revenues of the top 30 companies rose 38.11 percent year-on-year to 2.43 trillion yuan (373 billion U.S. dollars) last year, while their profits surged 71.2 percent from the previous year to 200.5 billion yuan, according to the statement.
