China's stocks closed lower on Friday, as the country's stubbornly high inflation allows no easing in the government's tightening measures.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.30 percent, or 7.41 points, to close at 2,431.38 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index slid 0.42 percent, or 43.58 points, to finish at 10,438.26.
