China is the most attractive investment destination in the world, a survey released Wednesday by accounting firm Ernst & Young shows.

Asian emerging markets are among the most attractive due to their high growth potential, expanding domestic demand and resilience to current market volatility, according to the 5th Global Capital Confidence Barometer, a regular survey of senior executives from large companies around the world.

The top three most attractive investment destinations are emerging markets — China, India and Brazil.

The U.S. also remains attractive based on the size and diversity of its economy. And Australia ranked highly due to its booming mining and metals sector.

China's business press carried the story above on Friday.
