Chinese stocks open higher Monday

Chinese shares opened higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.17 percent to open at 2,334.25.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 9,451.17, up 14.18 points, or 0.15 percent.
