Chinese shares closed lower on Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closing at 2,410.45, down 34.56 points, or 1.41 percent, from the previous close.
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 132.62 points, or 1.3 percent, to end at 10,093.81.
