Chinese stocks open slightly lower Monday

Chinese stocks opened slightly lower on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.04 percent, or 0.92 points, to open at 2,438.55.

The Shenzhen Component Index edged down 0.11 percent, or 11.43 points to open at 10,322.95.
