Chinese stocks close down on Thursday

Chinese shares closed slightly lower Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.09 percent, or 2.21 points, to finish at 2,378.63.

The Shenzhen Component Index dipped 0.54 percent, or 54.13 points, to close at 10,015.41.
