Chinese stocks end lower after FDI data

Chinese shares fell in the morning session Tuesday, after data showed foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country fell for a sixth straight month in April amid global economic woes.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.81 percent to 2,361.44. The Shenzhen Component Index closed the morning session at 10,053.53, down 0.39 percent.
