Although the trademark case has not been ruled, a new generation of the Apple iPad has received the network access license of China Telecom for its WCDMA equipment.

The new product is A1430, a 4G version of the new iPad. It supports the WAPI mode which is exclusive in Chinese mainland and the WCDMA mode under the R6 version. The permit validity is three years.

This license is the last necessary certificate for sales of the new iPad on the Chinese mainland. But Apple has not announced its release date.

The trademark case between Apple and the Proview Technology (Shenzhen) Co has not been determined. According to information released by both lawyers, the two parties are still negotiating on the settlement amount. But no promising fruits have been yielded yet due to the big gap between the two sides.
