Beijing Review, part of China International Publishing Group, and the China Society for Africa Studies launched their latest guide for Chinese business in Africa Thursday at the Raffles Beijing Hotel. The book, Directory 2012 – Doing Business in China and Africa, includes a comprehensive list of Chinese enterprises investeing in the African continent.

Wei Jianguo, Secretary General of China Center for International Economic Exchanges and President of Chinese Society for African Studies, and Wang Gangyi, President and Editor-in-Chief of Beijing Review addressed attendees at the launch ceremony. Over 100 Chinese and African entrepreneurs and journalists attended.
"The trade volume of China and Africa hit US$ 160 billion last year and is expected to reach US$ 190 billion this year. The book will make contributions to further economic and trade cooperation, especially investment," Wei said. "It can help us to fight together for our common objective."

"It is so far the only book in China that includes comprehensive investment and trade information of China and Africa. It relies on many years' research achievements of authority institutions and experts. So the content of the book is authoritative and the data is reliable," Wang said.
At 244 pages, this book covers the Chinese government's policies in regards to Africa, industry reports, information about 320 Chinese companies and 120 African companies and 240 products of Chinese enterprises.
