Google Glass, a popular Internet-linked eyewear gadget, has been sold out within a few short hours in its one-day limited sale.
"Wow, what a morning! We're happy to see so many new faces (and frames) in the Explorer Program," the Google Glass team wrote on its Google+ page, "Just a quick update that – ack – we've sold out of Cotton (white), so things are moving really fast."

Google extended sales of its eyeglass to the general public for the first time ever on Tuesday. In its one-day online sale, the company offered any US resident the ability to buy the Google Glass Explorer edition at the price of US$1,500.
Google has not yet disclosed how many units it had sold. Before Tuesday's sale, analysts estimated a total of10,000 units have been purchased by people hand-selected by Google, dubbed Explorers.
Google previously said it hopes to bring Google Glass to the mass consumer market sometime later this year.
