The Tianjin Summer Davos 2014 on September 10 is large-scale and high-ranking. Tianjin Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission and Tianjin Market and Quality Regulation Commission started early to finalize working plans, fulfill details and make good preparations for food safety at the forum.

Competent departments formed 6 groups to be a support system and to coordinate each other smoothly, i.e. Expert Guidance, General Coordination, Emergency Operation, Logistics Guarantee, Secretarial Information and News Report. They will stay in venues and catering companies in due course, to monitor food safety and public health and to make inspection tours to key areas and key companies. More than 300 persons will perform supervisory and secure duties at different posts.

At present, 63 key steps and 252 control points have been confirmed to ensure food safety and public health. Meanwhile, a health risk assessment to reception hotels and catering companies is triggered off. Hidden risks will be investigated and removed through checkup, on-site fast test and expert discussion. This year, on-site fast tests will cover 54 items, including 20 items of food safety, 20 items of public place health and 14 items of drinking water.

Tianjin pays great attention to food safety for the forum and has taken more actions. Before the opening ceremony, three rounds of risk assessments will be finished to further supervise and urge participants to make improvement and to provide quality, safe and healthy catering services for guests.
