The latest smartphone sales data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech for three months ending February 2015 shows that Apple's iOS sales have reached an all-time high in China, where it captured 27.6% of the smartphone market, thanks to the launch of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus.

According to the data, iPhone 6 remained the best selling phone growing its market share to 10.2% compared to 9.5% registered at the end of January. Apple's iPhone 6 plus ranked the third on the best selling smartphone list after Xiaomi Redmi Note, a low-end smartphone brand of Xiaomi.

Chief of Kantar Worldpanel ComTech Carolina Milanesi reported that in the iOS sales, China Mobile's subscribers accounted for 59%.

On March 31, Apple officially launched the trade-in program which focuses on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus in the Chinese mainland market. Milanesi expressed that this might promote the sales of the two products.

But, Milanesi also said with the new smartphones in the Android system launched by Samsung, HTC, LG and Huawei staring from April, the market will inject more sparks. Apple will face a new challenge.
