China's securities regulator is reporting that some 8-million new trading accounts have been set-up on China's A-share market in the first quarter of this year.

This represents a 433-percent increase year-on-year.

The China Securities Regulatory Commission report has also found that among the new investors, around 60-percent of them were born in the 80s.

Nearly 90-percent of these new accounts have seed capital less than 500-thousand yuan.
