Following the establishment of the Guangdong-Macao Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Industrial Park, Hengqin is making new moves to build the TCM healthcare industry as a key sector.

The TCM Big Data Service Platform was officially set up in Inno Valley of Hengqin on November 25. Based on modern IT technology and a massive collection of TCM data, it aims to provide quality service for TCM hospitals and doctors. The public can enjoy the service, too.

Generally, traditional Chinese medicine remains a matter of mystery to the public. “We use big data technology to explain it and realize its visualization. People can see how it works with their own eyes,” stated the Peking University Founder Group Corp. in explaining what led to the establishment of the service platform.

This platform brings cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and other emerging modern IT technologies together. In accordance with the “Internet + TCM” service platform model, it will be of great help to hospitals, doctors and the public.

"This platform will improve TCM doctors’ clinical effects and thus the TCM market in China will be further fostered,” stressed Liu Yuxiao, vice president of Peking University Founder Group Corp.

The platform is supported by Peking University, the TCM Information Office of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and other research institutions and hospitals. With a collection of powerful advantages in TCM technology, IT technology and capital, it is expected to promote the industrial development and modernization of traditional Chinese medicine.
