Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel becomes World's Leading Themed Hotel

China’s Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel was awarded the World’s Leading Themed Hotel in the 2015 World Travel Awards (WTA) grand final gala ceremony recently held at the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort in Morocco, Zhuhai Daily reported.
The WTA was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry based on the polling of over 200,000 professional tourism judges and tourists. Dubbed the “Oscar” of the tourism sector, the WTA is recognized globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.
The WTA set up its first World’s Leading Themed Hotel award this year and the Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel, located in southern China’s Zhuhai City, won the award for its excellence in innovation and customer experience.
The Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel opened in March, 2014 and is the world’s largest ocean themed hotel.
