Heads of China's major IT companies have expressed optimism of future of China's Internet industry.
Alibaba founder Jack Ma, Tecent CEO Pony Ma and Baidu CEO Robin Li are attending the second World Internet Conference, which kicks off Wednesday in east China.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has delivered a keynote speech at the conference, elaborating on China's Internet policy.
Jack Ma says as a large Internet-based economy, China is bringing a major technological revolution to the human beings. The Zhejiang-based company rolled out e-commerce platform Taobao and e-payment tool Alipay in 2003 and 2004, when Xi Jinping served as the party chief of the east Chinese province.
Tecent's Pony Ma says he is encouraged by President Xi's attendance to the conference, saying that shows Chinese government's support to the Internet development. According to Ma, game, video and music will be major businesses for his company in the future.
Robin Li from Baidu says his company has been committed to Internet development via technological innovation in the past 15 years. Baidu, the largest Chinese-language search engine in the world, will introduce more applications based on its technology. For instance, it brings a driverless car to the internet conference this time.
