One of the highlights during the conference is an expo called "the Light of the Internet". It officially opens today with exhibitions by over 260 companies from China and abroad.

"China's support for Internet startups and innovation is creating a better stage for us. "The Light of the Internet" is the highest level of Internet expos in the world. Such gatherings help us to better present our innovative products to the public," said Cai Zhenhua, CEO of Sixiang Co.

"In the past, the way for Tibetan herdsmen to access information was very backwards. Too often their newspapers would be delayed for three months. So, we developed several platforms, including websites, mobile apps and telephone hotlines, to improve their way of living and working," said Zheng Xiaolian, product director of China Mobile Tibet Branch.
