China's Le Holdings Co Ltd, also known as LeEco and formerly as LeTV, has unveiled several new products including an all-electric battery "concept" car.

The vehicle, called LeSEE, is one of an array of premium electric vehicles (EVs) due to hit the market in the next few years, from more than half a dozen Chinese-funded EV start-ups.

LeSee is not only fully electrically propelled but has been engineered to be a "smart", "connected" and "automated self-driving" car.

The concept car will be displayed at next week's Beijing auto show.

At the launch event in Beijing, Jia Yueting, co-founder and head of LeEco, says the company hopes to help realise a future ecological system for traffic.

"LeTV's auto production indeed could possibly drag down the whole LeTV ecology, as everyone knows that, LeTV's fund is not from fund-chain financing, however, auto industry is a place that attaches great importance to capital. But LeTV's brave spirit just helps us break through traditional industries' entrenched thinking and break the mind shackles in traditional industries, so as to make possible a unique model, a revolutionary product and a whole ecological system that can represent the future's traffic ecology."

Meanwhile, LeEco has also launched its flat-screen TVs, virtual-reality headsets, along with three flagship smartphones.
