Beijing's rental costs see sharp growth in H1

The per capita net income from house rentals of Beijing residents grew by 31.1 percent year on year due to a higher demand in the first half of the year, according to the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics.

Health spending increased by 8.2 percent year on year, representing the highest growth rate among eight kinds of commodities consumptions.

Data illustrates, affected by rising rent prices and bonuses, the net property income of city residents has maintained relatively fast growth during the first half of the year.

The per capita net property income of city residents was 4,056 yuan in the first half of the year, which increased by 10.8 percent year on year making it 4.8 percent higher than it was during the same period last year.

The per capita net income from house rentals was 628 yuan, up by 31.1 percent year on year. Specifically, the number grew by 31.6 percent in urban areas and 26.5 percent in rural areas. Necessities, service and residence expenses increased by 7.7 percent. Garment consumption dropped by 1.5 percent, and other expenses fell by 8.1 percent.
