On March 23, 2017, UCAR Technology (USA) Inc. ("UCAR USA" or "the Company"), a group company of UCAR Inc. ("UCAR China"), China's premium Uber, has recently hired a California based legal firm to take legal actions against its four departed Silicon Valley lab staff.

The four staff were Yan LI, Zhenzhen KOU, Hua ZHONG and Da HUO (in Chinese pinyin). The four staff were formerly hired by UCAR USA and were in charge of the research and development of UCAR China's autonomous driving project. On March 14, 2017, they handed in their resignation letters together suddenly. According to the leads held by UCAR USA, the four staff were suspected to have infringed on the Company's intellectual property rights and leaked the Company's business secrets during their employment and after their departure.

UCAR USA is a Silicon Valley based lab founded by UCAR China in July 2015. The lab mainly focuses on machine learning, intelligent driving and big data development.

Attached is the copy of the legal letter to Yan LI issued by UCAR USA.
