Xiong'an New Area, projected to be a new city through the coordinated efforts of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province, recently advertised 23 jobs vacancies for medium-and-high-level professionals.

The 23 jobs with China Xiong'an Construction and Investment Group Co. Ltd. involved investment management, financing and infrastructure construction posts suitable for medium-and high-level professionals.

Only 121 candidates from 352 people selected from among the 4,123 resumes initially submitted were able to pass the written examinations and so qualify for final interviews that concluded on Sept. 17. The result will be announced by the end of this month.

The candidates were required to have at least a bachelor degree, and ideally have worked for more than five years.

"The employment of experienced hands will help the Group achieve fast-track development and learn from others," said Xiao Yin, general manager of Chengtong Human Resources Company Ltd, a third party through which Xiong'an issued the recruitment advertisements.

China Xiong'an Construction and Investment Group Co Ltd, solely owned by the Hebei Provincial Government, was established on July 18, 2017, with a registered capital of 10 billion yuan (US$1.5 billion).

"The amenities in Xiong'an are still under construction. If it cannot solve the residential permits and housing issues, I would prefer Tianjin, where the institutions are more mature than those of the New Area, for my first job,"said Zhang Ming, a postgraduate candidate from Beijing.
