Shared development opportunities for Belt and Road countries

China has shared its successful experience of poverty alleviation with BRI countries still suffering from food shortages and poverty. For example, China shared data from the "Fengyun" meteorological satellites with South Africa to help with disaster warning.

As the world's largest importer of agricultural products, China has developed a solid foundation in trading agricultural product with BRI countries. In 2022, China put forward a plan to expand cooperation with BRI countries in fostering modern agricultural industries and upgrading technologies such as satellite applications and smart agriculture.
