Food safety will be highlighted at the 8th World Instant Noodles Summit to be held on May 19-21 in Tianjin, China, with the aim of sharing good practices and expertise among participants from around the world.

The summit will urge manufactures to further enhance the role played by the instant noodles industry in ensuring food safety for the world, and help consumers create a better understanding about this once-misunderstood product.
Food safety is not only a primary issue for the food industry, but also a common concern shared by all countries in the world. Instant noodles, a semi-processed and ready-to-eat food category, is widely recognized for its convenience, delicacy, low cost, excellent preservation and safety.
Dr. V. Prakash, former director of India's Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), will deliver a speech on nutrition, food safety and the added-value of instant noodles at the summit.
