Tianjin, which is only 100 kilometers away from the capital, attracted a number of reporters. It only took them 30 minutes to arrive by high-speed rail.

Journalists visited the Tianjin Planning Exhibition Hall, where large pictures and blueprints of the Binhai New Area are shown. They also toured the Tianjin Cultural Center and Haihe Educational Center. A reporter from South Korea's KBS news shared his expectations for the upcoming Party Congress.

KBS reporter said, "I am interested in various topics, such as Sino-US relations and diplomatic relations between China and South Korea. Chinese economic development, environmental protection, public welfare system and ageing society are also interesting topics."
