With the upcoming 18th CPC National Congress, movies with patriotic themes are being put on the big screens all over China. These domestic films aim to reflect the true life of the masses, by telling stories or recording the reality and history of the nation.

These series of movies dedicated to the 18th CPC National Congress have rich themes, diverse content and plenty of emotion. Several of the titles include "The Next 11 Days", "The Tree in the Rain", and "Go through Snow Mountains and Grassland."

Some of the movies depict harmonious scenes since China's reform and opening up, some have characters that are model figures living an ordinary life; some show the historical progress of minority areas, and many focus on China's reality and history.

"Hushed Roar" is told from a post-80's generation girl's point of view. The girl tells the story of a fierce battle in Shanxi Province between the Chinese army and the Japanese invaders which raged for more than a month in 1938. Audiences say that the movie has the force to hit people's heart.

Spectator said, "I cried three times when I saw 'Hushed Roar'. China's had a tough history."

Spectator said, "I think these kinds of movies are more and more attractive and closer to our daily life. 'The Tree in the Rain' tells us a moving story based on a real person and it can help us learn from ordinary, but outstanding people."

These films resonate well with elderly people, who recall some of their old experiences, while young people are being educated in a special way.

Spectator said, "People our age have experienced more, so maybe we have more thoughts and feelings watching these movies."

Spectator said, "These movies show the Patriotism of the artists. They are in the same space as common people and the nation."

Spectator said, "Peace is really difficult to achieve. We should cherish our lives nowadays, learn lessons from history and reflect on the present."

Spectator said, "Movies based on true stories may bring us back to our real thoughts and our inner heart."

With a sincere attitude and the wisdom to tell a complete and moving story, these thematic Chinese movies may eventually win the market and the box office, as well as people's hearts.

Reporter: "These movies will be a great gift from the Chinese filmmakers to the 18th National Congress. Movie theatres are actively taking part, by holding a variety of screenings. They hope their efforts will help set the scene for a positive and harmonious atmosphere for the success of the 18th CPC National Congress."
